My work tends to be landscapes with an element of impressionism.
I enjoy working with many different mediums, but oil painting seems to complement my artistic style best. Scenes from nature always inspire me and my landscape paintings tend to be a visual diary of my travels. I always have more scenes to paint than time.
I feel that I am only at the midpoint of my artistic journey. I am still learning the mechanics of painting and more importantly how to express my feelings through paint. I really appreciate how art can give an immediate reaction to the viewer and that is what I strive for in my art.
I grew up in West Vancouver and now live at the base of Mount Seymour with my husband and daughter. I have been a member of the North Shore Artist’s Guild for three years and have been the Guild’s newsletter editor for the past two years. I hope you derive as much pleasure from viewing my work as I do from creating them.
